Are you interested in learning more about what the P&C does, or whether you want to be a part of it? Please read on.
What is the P&C?
A forum for parents and carers to support Aranda Primary School to further the educational and social needs of the students and the community at large.
- We fundraise to supplement classroom resources and equipment,
- We run programs and services that support student needs, including the Uniform Shop and Canteen, and
- We also facilitate parental and community feedback into school planning processes.
You can find more detail in the P&C Constitution.
What’s involved?
That’s up to you. You can contribute a few hours a year helping at a BBQ or take on more significant projects, like managing the Book Club. Whatever time you can give will make a positive difference.
How do I start?
By keeping an eye out for volunteer opportunities in the School Newsletter, the P&C News or the P&C Facebook page. Activities include helping sort books for the Book Club, helping out at fundraising events or volunteering at the Canteen.
You can also attend P&C meetings, where the Committee decides what fundraising events and programs should be run, and which projects to support through raised funds.
Meetings are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm, in Weeks 3 and 8, each school term.
Meetings may be held in person or online. Keep an eye out for details in the school newsletter and P&C News emails arandapandc@gmail.com
